Lead Consultant to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US). A group company within NTT DATA currently seeking a JBoss/Pega middleware resource to join our Pega digital practice. Reporting to the solution/delivery leadership, this resource will manage the collaboration between infrastructure and middleware teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation of PEGA runtime environment. This resource will have experience in working with project teams to provide expert advice on Pega environments including design, and implementation of infrastructure from specifications, configuration, and deployment of Pega PRPC, back-end resources connectivity and monitoring/troubleshooting of complex PEGA applications. The ideal candidate must have a strong background, be hands-on, and come prepared and ready to administer Pega environments. Strong business acumen along with strong communication skills (both oral and written) is an absolute must. Pega Administrators are expected to think independently, but also must value teamwork as they are responsible for overall health of software platform in a collaborative setting. Specific responsibilities of the new Pega System Administrator will be:
o Work with the leadership and development teams to ensure that designs effectively accommodate long-term maintainability, supportability, robustness, and scalability of software solutions o Keep abreast of patches including minor and major version releases o Regular RAP deployments from non-production through production environments o Evaluating merits and risks of upgrades; coordinating with appropriate staff to execute patches to deployed applications; monitoring day-to-day operational health of deployed applications o Responsible for maintaining operational health of PEGA PRPC application o Responsible for updating appropriate system level documentation and knowledge base documentation o Advise development team on performance improving solutions o Responsible for the overall health and performance of an application's environment. o Conduct DR drills on a scheduled basis o Good troubleshooting and RCA skills. o Willing to provide 24/7 on call support. o Pega PRPC development portal administration experience (new rule set imports, user management, agent management etc ). o Configuring Pega PRPC SMA nodes. o Experience with Pega PRPC expose and resave utilities/scripts. o Experience in managing SSL certs on the web and the application servers. o Experience in writing and editing bash, korn, powershell scripts for automating tasks etc o Experience in configuring the appropriate web plugins between the web and the app servers. o Experience with application/platform performance monitoring tools such as PAL, PMI, AES and Windows Performance Monitor o Experience in configuring and optimizing JDBC connectivity with the backend DB servers. o Experience in - PEGA Admin Windows, MQ Linux, MSSQL, o Authentication Service, Reporting, Agents and Ruleset Management. o Strong experience in the Analysis and Tuning of RDBMS o Good Knowledge of how monitoring tools work (e.g., Hostmon) o Use proven communication skills to collaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirements and presentation skills. o Good knowledge of networks, firewalls, VIPs and TCP/IP. o Good understanding of F5, VIPs and load balances. o Experience in MS Visio or other infra diagram tool. years in middleware architecting and implementation of largescale Enterprise applications. o 10
years' experience with Systems Administration, Middleware, and networking solutions. o 8
years of experience in using the JBOSS Middleware / Tomcat / WebSphere / WebLogic for new environment design, install and configuration in a multi node environment. o 8
years of experience in Apache web server installation, administration managing load balance in a round robin fashion for redundancy. o 8
years' experience Pega environments administration and deployment experience including configuring in JBoss / Tomcat / WebSphere / WebLogic environments. o Master / Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
