Responsibilities:
Respond to all inquiries, insurance denials, and other correspondence in an efficient and timely manner.
Responsible for the submission of timely appeals, re-determinations, and reconsideration according to payer guidelines.
Provides feedback to clients for improvement.
Reviews and submits primary EOB to the secondary and tertiary payer for processing.
Monitors insurance accounts receivable and follows up on 30, 60, 90, and 121
aged claims.
Researches and resolves all recoupment and refund requests.
Reports aging status to Billing Manager.
Follow company policies and procedures as well as state and federal guidelines.
Education/Training:
CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
High school diploma or GED required.
Requirements:
1-2 years previous medical billing or revenue cycle management experience.
Must be able to pass a background check.
