The B2B Education Business Development Manager is a sales role focused on winning new and existing business within the Education market.
The primary purpose of this role is to drive sales for Michaels B2B Education program.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is great at building relationships with new customers and leveraging relationships with current customers for continued sales growth.
Research potential sales opportunities within assigned sales territory to target K-12 and Private Schools.
Source new sales opportunities through cold calling education prospects.
Prospect and build sales pipeline via multiple mediums including email, phone, trade shows and inbound customer calls.
Prioritize meetings with decision makers and conduct on site presentations and virtual Zoom presentations.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail managing all respective sales activities in CRM (notes, follow ups, emails, call logs) Meet quarterly sales goals for Revenue and Margin Participate in team meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items.
Demonstrate accountability and responsibility by completing projects on time.
Be accountable for meeting objectives, contributing to a positive corporate culture, and using strategic thinking to find ways to offer value to our clients.
Trade Show Support - participate in the Show process from start to finish.
Assist with the selection of product to present at a show, the materials to support the show, work the show and initiate the follow up process for each show Other duties as assigned Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Business, or equivalent work experience Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills Excellent computer skills that include Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook Minimum Type of experience the job requires Must have 5#43; years of outside sales experience.
Previous sales experience with educational sales required.
Familiar with use of Group Purchasing Organizations and Co-Op Public Sector Contracts Other Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize workload Excellent office and organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail Ability to be a self-starter and work without supervision Must be able to quickly understand new information Good problem-solving skills a must Travel 25% #LI-LS1 Applicants in the U.
