Our sandblasting and coating facilities are NEW and state-of-the-art As an Industrial Painter for Signal Metal Industries, Inc.
, you will be an important member of the team that determines painting requirements by studying specifications; prepares surfaces by using masking, grit blast, or chemical rinse.
Completes painting by adjusting spray guns, airbrushes, stencils, and manual equipment.
Maintains equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions; completing preventive maintenance requirements and schedules.
Maintains safe conditions by following guidelines and procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste.
Prepares production reports by recording data.
We are looking for an EXPERIENCED, PROFESSIONAL, and FULLY-TRAINED industrial coatings applicator.
The best applicants will have a strong working knowledge of NACE and SSPC standards.
Experience with organic and inorganic zinc enriched primers, epoxies, and urethane coating systems is a plus.
It's important that candidates understand wet and dry film demands.
Qualifications Required Proven safety record.
Takes precautions and preventive measures to ensure a safe work environment.
Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
Maintains attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks.
Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.
Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years on-the-job experience with industrial coatings applications.
Preferred Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
Has excellent attendance and can handle responsibility.
Ability to expand job responsibilities, suggest improvements, and collaborate with others to generate ideas and improve processes.
Trained in hands-on equipment maintenance.
