Summary:
This is a full-time position.
Hours are flexible and may range from 6:
00 am 7:
30 pm CT, daily Monday through Friday.
The Print Operator is responsible for assessing, coordinating, and processing a high volume and variety of print requests received through various sources within a fast-paced environment.
In addition, the Operator provides print solutions, strategies and technical solutions in accordance with our clients needs.
Work Hours:
6am to 7:
30pm M-F (split shift between two team members with overlap; current team member is working 11 -7:
30 pm so this would be 7am to 3:
30 or shifting to end by 5:
30)
Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for assessing, coordinating, and processing a high volume of print requests.
May be required to highlight areas of concern and make recommendations for process improvements.
Operation of various high-speed digital printers and copiers.
Responsible for maintaining printed product quality for the jobs they print.
Assist with coordinating, scanning, packing and processing for shipping a high volume of printed documents.
Perform daily preventive maintenance tasks on printers and equipment to assure peak performance.
Responsible for maintaining daily print volume requirements on respective shifts.
Keep written and electronic logs of downtime, repairs, and meter charges of all printers and copiers.
Provide outstanding customer service on a continuous daily basis to a high volume of users.
Placing and tracking equipment service calls.
Maintain perpetual inventory of consumable supplies (paper, toner, developer) used on equipment.
Willingness to learn new processes as technology/equipment changes.
Communicates primarily within the department.
Able to assist with training for new hires.
Ensures that the print area is neat and clean to provide a professional and safe working environment.
Assist with updating any tracking reports required for production.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years experience in printing or distribution environment printing multiple type of jobs preferred.
Willing to train candidate that has experience with tax or mortgage documents.
Hands on experience with Ricoh, IBM Roll Printer or similar high speed digital printers a plus.
Must possess mechanical ability and have knowledge required to operate digital printers.
Troubleshooting skills are necessary to overcome any technical difficulties that may occur.
Proficient knowledge of digital print commands and navigation of print screens required.
Experience with InfoPrint Manager or InfoPrint Process Director, or other digital print/workflow programs is a plus.
Working knowledge of MS Office programs.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in distribution center environment preferred, but not required.
Must be able to work independently while within a team structure with minimum supervision.
Ability to organize and prioritize workloads.
Must possess quick decision-making skills in order to withstand a high-production environment with same day SLAs.
Must maintain good attendance and positive attitude.
Organized, efficient, reliable, and a self-starter.
Able and willing to work 1st, 2nd, and/or weekend shifts when needed.
