00 PM CentralJob Posting Duties include working closely with Police Communications, Police Records, and the Public Safety IT Team; providing technical support for Public Safety Communications personnel through basic troubleshooting of electronic and computerized systems, such as voice logging equipment, E 9-1-1 equipment, computer-aided dispatch system, and TLETS.
Additional duties include maintaining Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD); creating and / or updating Unit IDs, call types, as well as entries in the CAD Database; loading and maintaining related GEO data; working with Police Communications division on quality control, workflow operations, and (data) table changes within relevant systems and modules; providing training on CAD-RMS operations; and collaborating with Police Records to ensure appropriate recordkeeping.
An Associate degree or equivalent with course work in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field, and two years of related experience in a technology customer support area required.
Experience in municipal government a plus.
Will be scheduled for periodic after-hours on-call duty including nights, weekends, and holidays; and must be available for callback in emergency situations.
Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted.
Candidates will be subject to a polygraph exam and criminal history check.
Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered.

The maximum amount of hiring incentive that an individual employee may receive is $3,000.
