Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving Power BI reporting for the Accounting operation.
The position is primarily responsible for ensuring all reporting is complete, accurate and up to date in Power BI as well as providing AD Hoc reporting as needed.
Responsibilities Maintain and improve Power BI reports Ad Hoc reporting as needed Custom SQL queries Gain understanding of organization's business processes Coordinate Month End Close Financial Review Publish periodic reports to field personnel Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via email, phone, MS Teams, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft Access (VBA) a plus
Qualifications Education:
4-year degree in Computer Science or Data/Business Analytics.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
Experience:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to understand and appropriately respond to a variety of business process needs.
Communication:
Strong written and oral communication skills are required to prepare and process documentation, summarize recommendations for review by various levels of accounting management, and resolve various vendor issues.
Prepare and present presentations to various teams.
Technology:
Strong computer skills in PC applications and ability to learn new software.
Microsoft Office Programs (Excel and Power BI) are heavily used.
PDI knowledge preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
