Supplier Strategy & Portfolio Planning Lead

This pivotal role is an opportunity to lead efforts within the Organizational Strategy, Planning, & Enablement (OSPE) team, in Finance Operations (FinOps) under Corporate Finance Services (CFS), in aiding Microsoft to enhance its operating leverage.
This Supplier Strategy & Portfolio Planning Lead role is instrumental in augmenting business outcomes and economic value across Microsoft s ecosystem, thereby influencing strategic decisions within our operations, investments, and supplier strategy.
We are seeking a Supplier Strategy & Portfolio Planning Lead to spearhead supplier strategy and instill commercial flexibility within our business process outsourcing (BPO) agreements, aligning with our long-term organizational objectives.
This position will clarify the supplier strategy roadmap and the comprehensive contract lifecycle operations within the FinOps framework.

Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6
years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.
Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
S.
is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Supplier Strategy & Portfolio PlanningCollaborate closely with an array of stakeholders across FinOps and Procurement to formulate supplier strategy and commercial frameworks that bolster risk mitigation, ongoing enhancement, and digital transformation endeavors.
Lead complex supplier strategy initiatives and advise the organization on the impact of commercial frameworks on service delivery, ensuring optimal operations, and long-term, strategic initiatives.
Propel accountability within the team and organization in executing fundamental business operations.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of the supplier portfolio and contract landscape.
Interface with business leadership team members in Accounting Operations, Global Payout Services, Global Payroll, Controls & Compliance, and Data & Technology Services to refine supplier strategy and enhance current partnerships.
Contract ManagementOrchestrate multi-million dollar supplier sourcing events to maximize commercial opportunities and operating leverage in collaboration with business tower leads, procurement stakeholders, and OSPE.
Evaluate the impact of volume adjustments and spearhead discussions to enforce governance and accountability with suppliers and business towers.
Outline contract renewal execution strategies and delineate supplier success metrics and performance indicators across Finance Operations.
Develop and implement communication strategies for extended leadership team members.
Leverage expertise to advocate for and secure consensus on complex contractual terms and operational objectives from stakeholders and key partners, including, but not limited to, Procurement and Corporate, External,and Legal Affairs (CELA).
Manage a portfolio of volume-driven commercial terms.
Assess the impact of volume fluctuations and guide discussions to ensure governance and accountability with suppliers and internal operations teams.
Business PlanningGenerate reports, analytics, and insights from commercial and financial data to inform decisions across FinOps and facilitate the delivery of digital transformation projects.
Analyze performance against value drivers.
Support ongoing analysis, forecasting, and scrutiny of business trends to model strategic plans across the FinOps portfolio.
Business Partnership and Communication Provide active support and resources to that offer insight and transparency to business health and trajectory.
Drive actionable insights and business responsibility based on data analysis outcomes.
Fulfill requests from leaders for ad-hoc analysis.
Collaborate with FinOps leaders, Procurement, Central Finance Team, and Corporate, External,and Legal Affairs (CELA) partners on vendor strategy, resource distribution, and expenditure management.
Influence stakeholders through communication, effective data visualization, and narrative techniques.
