Our client is looking for a Network Administrator located in Irving, TX. This is a 6 month contract to hire position. The hourly rate offered is DOE.
Network Administrator (must work onsite)
Coordinates projects with Manager of IS regarding Lotus Notes interface.
Supports physical and network architecture, including Microsoft-based networks, locally and at remote (or satellite) locations as required.
Provides Microsoft administration; this will include user registrations, access control levels, performance monitoring of software and review of server logs for current and potential issues. Should also possess a working knowledge of other server-based applications such as the financial products, virus protection and other miscellaneous applications.
Provides set up services, including the installation of additional hardware and necessary software to new computer acquisitions.
Supervises IT Assistants in all locations to resolve user access and communications problems locally and from remote locations as required. Ensures IT Assistants are completing time sheets, time clock punches, and expense reports as required by company. This is a mandatory skill.
Maintains documentation for NT Server configuration. (Including NT Server specs, upgrades, remote access capabilities, user TCP/IPs, etc.)
Maintains documentation for Lotus Notes/Domino server and administration process (Including server version, production databases, production databases access control list, backup and shutdown procedures, etc.). This is a preferred skill. Any equivalent skill will be a huge plus.
Insures that adequate and consistent Network and Lotus Notes backup routines are maintained and expanded as needed for minor and major disaster recovery needs.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related degree, or equivalent experience.
Two to five years experience in network administration.
Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) or Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) is preferred.
