Our Client is seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in Commercial Lines of Insurance that will partner with the business unit(s) to provide software application support of a Policy Administration System and the associated software integrations. The candidate will participate throughout the software development life cycle, starting with the initial planning process, resulting in production implementation. This person must be a highly motivated self-starter and a team player capable of working in a small, fast paced environment with the ability to operate remotely. Knowledge of Commercial Lines Insurance is a must have.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the business unit(s) to perform analysis and document business requirements related to application enhancement requests Facilitate monthly release planning meetings with the business units, translating expectations to the development team Understand and document project plans with an ability to articulate roles, project goals and timelines to project team members Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detailed specifications Work with technical resources to ensure accurate translation of specifications Work with sister companies on coordinated development efforts Participate in testing of monthly releases and defect analysis Work with business users on a day-to-day basis Provide high quality support for our business user community Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Business degree or equivalent work experience with five or more years of insurance related IT experience Demonstrate good judgment in what and how to communicate with a variety of clients and achieve results with a strong sense of customer services Demonstrate strong written and oral communications skills Demonstrate ability to work with all levels of individuals Ability to draft communications that are clear, concise, complete and professional Ability to interact with all levels of the organization Ability to work independently, take ownership, determine urgency of situations and respond accordingly Demonstrate organizational skills while working on multiple projects Excellent problem solving skills Ability to travel 15% of the time in the performance of dutiesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
