Description This position is a senior role managing compliance oversight activities primarily in the Student Loan business. In addition to their own unit, responsible for assisting compliance management in establishing overall direction of the compliance function. The position will interface with management, business partners, regulatory examiners, auditors, and with the general counsel's legal team. This position will also perform special projects, compile data, and prepare/present reports to senior management and other personnel. This person will also provide advice, training and monitoring to business units. Along with overall compliance oversight, this position will set strategy and plans for their respective specialty business area and function. The candidate has to be fully knowledgeable of assigned product and functional area, and have a thorough understanding of areas of responsibility as well as a broad understanding of the entire Compliance function and related business functions. Evaluates business practices and reviews transactions to ensure that business is conducted in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures. Keeps abreast of new laws, rules, products, technologies and applications, and assesses implications for assigned areas. Develops compliance policy and guidelines; provides support to the business units to include business change activities; engages in resolution of issues and concerns; and in general collaboratEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
