TITLE: Oracle DBA Delivery Manager
DUTIES/
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for the successful delivery of the database components (Oracle) of a large program in the Western hemisphere. Specific duties will include oversight of designs, bills of material, program scheduling, and detailed implementation planning and execution.
This role will also act as the top technical program resource for North America, Mexico, Latin America, and South America. Occasional travel to these areas will be required. Direction of technical resources through virtual team structures is required.
Financial duties will include delivery cost estimation and resource planning, establishing rates/billing, and optimizing the cost of the solution to the business needs.
Additionally the role will serve as a primary communications point between the program leaders and sponsors, the Oracle database technicians, and other program stakeholders. Because of this, strong interpersonal, communications, and negotiation skills are a must.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
o Proven track record working under pressure, balancing multiple projects, meeting aggressive deadlines, making difficult decisions, and delivering quality solutions through effective leadership, partnership, and communications.
o Expert Oracle database knowledge, typically acquired over at least 10 years direct experience.
o Industry expert level platform design and administration skills (able to teach others )
o Oracle database certification is desired
o Well-developed oral and written communication skills, preferably with executive communication experience.
o Presentation skills that can influence the target audience and motivate to action
o Ability to simplify complicated technical issues so that less technical audiences can understand
o Demonstrated ability to effectively manage virtual teams during project delivery.
o Well-organized, capable of working with minimal supervision.
o Foreign language skills (Spanish/Portuguese) are desired.
o Bachelor degree in computer science or other related or equivalent work experience
