As the Software Architect you will play a vital and visible role on the technical and executive leadership team. You will add value by leading the architectural strategy across a suite of projects while fostering a high energy, highly productive engineering organization and culture within Client
As a member of the leadership team you will assist in charting the future product and technology strategy by considering technical, business and consumer trends.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership across all software and operations groups
Make fact-based recommendations regarding technology adoption and purchase
Lead product innovation initiatives that reflect both customer and market demands
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies to ensure Client possesses the correct tool-set at the right time
Ensure all teams are provided with the technical structure and guidance they need to properly implement solutions
Provide leadership in all areas of the development process, including development standards and practices, system architecture and design, functional and technical design and implementation, etc.
Mentor staff, increase awareness of code quality, performance, algorithms, deployment methodologies and operations
Promote a positive company image through public presentations, writing, blogging, standards, consortiums, industry collaborations, hiring, etc.
Work with other technical and business leaders to foster a world class engineering culture that embodies Clients core values
B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar technical field or equivalent experience is required
15+ years experience in software development and architecture
Proven experience in architecture, designing and implementing enterprise-scale, high volume, high availability systems
Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, especially executives and board of directors
Previous experience as the senior most architect within a large development organization
High-energy, enthusiastic and innovative thought leader who can gain alignment between business and technical teams
Experience working with agile and distributed organizations on and offshore
Stellar references from executive and technical leadership
Fantastic attitude
Deep knowledge of Spring
Deep knowledge of Hibernate
Extensive knowledge of MVC principals
Experience with Drools
Experience with Jasper Reports
Experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere and JBoss
Experience in a clustered environment (application server and database

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
