The primary role of the Solutions Engineer is to support the Sales Teams to complete licensed software sales. The SE provides the technical expertise to help prospective clients
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in support of all sales cycle activities, including:
-Discovery sessions
-RFI & RFP responses
-Trade shows
-Solution demonstrations
-Conference room pilots
-Proof of concept sessions
-On-going questions & answers
Respond to all technical questions regarding the installation and implementation of new software
Work closely with prospective clients in discovery sessions and ongoing follow-up discussions to ensure clear and concise communication is taking place
Create and adapt presentations to address prospective clients specific business needs and highlight technical advantages of solutions
Assist in maintaining product demonstration environments and configuring demonstration data and scenarios as required in sales cycles
Maintain understanding solutions across all product segments, and competitive offerings in the market
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in a pre-sales role, presenting technical solutions to C-level executives, operations directors, and IT management for supply chain management, WMS, or similar experience within a major software company
Minimum 2 years of technical consulting experience performing implementation services
Ideal candidate will have proficient technical skills necessary for installing enterprise software, loading complex data, and managing hardware environments. Experience writing SQL a plus
Solid presentation and communications skills with the ability to explain technical information to a technical and/or non-technical audience
Effective public speaking skills with the ability to control an audience, convey necessary concepts, and overcome objections
Additional Skills:
Ability to collaboratively work with other team members to achieve desired goals and objectives both internal and external
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that fosters change, creativity, and flexibility
Ability to travel for brief intervals to visit customers/collect information

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
