Our client is a leading retailer of financial services, including short-term consumer loans, check cashing, and bill payment and prepaid debit card services, and the largest owner and operator of check cashing stores in the United States and the second largest owner and operator of short-term consumer loan stores in the United States. As of May 2010, had a network of 1,751 stores in 37 states and the District of Columbia, consisting of 1,683 company-owned stores and 68 franchised stores. Our client focuses on serving consumers, many of whom seek alternatives to traditional banking relationships in order to gain convenient and immediate access to financial services.
The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insight using the Microsoft SQL 2012 stack of Business Intelligence products, primarily in support of company's eCommerce initiatives. This will be a dynamic role where you will be an integral member of a small team building an end-to-end business intelligence solution. This person should be very analytical with an even mix of business acumen and technical capability.
The ideal candidate will have an innate curiosity and some analytical capability with a passion for learning. An understanding of web analytics, search marketing, and lending are a plus and experience building Kimball Dimensional models from disparate data sources is preferred.
The BI Developer will be responsible for working with analysts, managers, and executives to understand and document business needs and working with IT and data warehouse teams to understand the data sources. This will be a collaborative role that will be responsible for delivering everything in the BI solution from the data models to the semantic models and the reports themselves.
This person should be at near expert level with SQL and be familiar with concepts like common table expressions, RANK, CASE, sub-queries, etc.. Must be familiar with pulling data out of data warehouse Dim/Fact tables as well as unstructured data and 3rd party data and marrying them together to get an overall view of the business.
A couple of years of SSRS experience is necessary with detailed understanding of expressions, data driven subscriptions, drill-down, drill-through, sub-reports, parameters, and report objects like tables, matrix, charts, maps, etc
Familiarity and some experience with PowerPivot are needed including creating data visualizations to support business monitoring, complex DAX expressions, and performance tuning PowerPivot and Tabular data models. Some experience with PerformancePoint and Power View are nice to haves.
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
3+ years' experience in a relevant position.
2+ years experience using SQL
2+ years experience using SSRS Report Development (experience with other vendor tools will be considered)
1+ years using PowerPivot, Power View, PerformancePoint, SharePoint, DAX
Experience with mobile BI a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
