CHC Helicopter has an opportunity for a Director, Operations Center (OC) in our Irving, TX location.
The OC Director reports to the Vice President, Operations Support and is accountable for the operational execution and effective management of a global OC.
The Director is further accountable for ensuring functional tasks within the OC are supported as required, and the crew planning functions are accomplished in an efficient and effective manner across the entire CHC enterprise, providing maximum value for the organization and ensuring customer service and set performance KPI's are achieved.
Essential Characteristics and
Experience:

years of demonstrated successful experience at a Sr.
Manager level or above leading large teams 5
years of demonstrated successful experience at managing highly technically skilled personnel (Pilots, Maintenance Engineers, Professional Engineers, etc) 10
years of demonstrated successful experience at least, in crew resource planning in an aviation or aerospace environment Demonstrated successful experience in developing or delivering on cost savings and/or cost reduction processes of 10% or more in a global organization Demonstrated successful experience in working within culturally diverse regions of the world Demonstrated successful experience working across multiple global regions, establishing support and collaboration in those regions International travel may be required.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Key
Responsibilities:
TACTICAL MANAGEMENT:
Ensure safety & compliance are maintained in all aspects of OC work Ensure effective management and control of daily OC operations is carried out Monitor worldwide operations, analyze current activities and make recommendations that maximize the use of available crew resources to achieve the highest levels of performance Ensure maximum crew productivity is achieved through proven optimization tools/ techniques Ensure critical response processes and procedures are in place to manage worldwide operating and emergency issues Ensure adequate business continuity plans for the OC are in place & tested Ensure global best practices in crew planning & training are implemented Maintain a customer service oriented culture, integrated with the OC's internal customers Ensure a continuous improvement process that demonstrates annual improvement in costs and efficiency in crew cost and support cost while maintaining compliance and safety PLANNING & FORECASTING:
Ensure effective planning and long term resource forecasts are in place & integrated in regions Initiate strategic resource plans including global recruitment requirements in collaboration with the regions QUALITY CONTROL and PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS:
Ensure operating processes and procedures are implemented and continuously improved Drive operating improvements resulting in an improved level of customer service Establish and ensure OC Key Performance Indicators are met Ensure quality procedures are established and quality control goals are achieved EMPLOYEE SUPPORT & DEVELOPMENT:
Provide meaningful performance management, employee feedback and ensure all staff receive appropriate mentoring, coaching and support at all levels.
COMMUNICATION & REPORTING:
Establish strong monthly reporting processes for each region, to ensure actual crew utilization in order to assess trends vs.
budgets that will enable accurate forecasting of future resourcing requirements.
Provide the main information gathering and distribution for daily operations and prepare decisions for irregularity recovery scenarios Ensure all communication channels/processes between OC and other company facilities are in place and managed effectively Ensure all flights in operations are monitored, correcting all irregularities which may occur Please apply ONLINE at www.
