Summary:
If you have a love of words, a keen eye for design, a problem-solving approach to editing, and a commitment to accuracy, we want to hear from you! The Vizient Brand and Creative team is looking for an experienced, flexible Brand Review Manager with uncompromising standards and outstanding attention to detail who will be responsible for reviewing and proofreading print and digital marketing materials. As a member of the team, the Brand Review Manager will need to shift priorities to accommodate urgent deadlines while maintaining unfailing accuracy. The role demands an awareness of big picture, sense of logic, factual accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines while maintaining steady focus on grammar, consistency and layout. The Brand Review Manager collaborates with a creative team of graphic designers, writers and Marcomm managers on projects.
Responsibilities:
The manager will review and edit all email, direct mail, presentations, web content, brochures, fact sheets, white papers throughout the entire production/creative process to ensure quality, accuracy and consistency of projects before release in both print and digital media.
Review and editing of written content
Proofreads at various stages of production for accurate production and presentation of all content modifications, revisions, updates or new copy content
Checks for grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, capitalization, style, layout, format, inconsistencies and fact checks as needed
Reviews content against creative brief objectives
Confirms size and specifications
Ensures that all brands, products and logos are current
Verifies legal and all trademarks and all copyrights are correct and current
Confirms that all phone numbers, URLs and email links are accurate and functioning
Becomes a brand standards subject matter expert
Identifies process improvement opportunities and communicates them to supervisor
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English or Journalism preferred
5 to 7 years of editing and proofreading experience, in an ad agency setting or marketing department with a professional services organization; including checking documents for general errors, layout and style consistency, clarity and cross-referencing a variety of materials.
Able to quickly and accurately proof copy, using standard proofreading symbols
Eye for design with ability to review for general visual style guide compliance
Well-versed in AP style manual
Strong communication skills
Possess exceptional spelling and grammar skills
Must be extremely detail oriented and organized
Fast learner of new programs, processes and systems
Technical Requirements
Excellent knowledge of AP Style
Skilled in Adobe Acrobat and InCopy software including mark-up/editing/distributing of electronic documents within each program
Advanced knowledge of all MS Office Products
Experience working with Workzone or comparable project management tool
Ability to utilize web research tools to fact check
