VP - Network Telecom Expense Lead - Irving, TX

Networks Service Management aims at empowering Network Build and Operations teams to maintain its focus on strategic initiatives and key programs by centralizing and managing business-critical processes. This includes management of processes designed to improve the customer experience, increase productivity, and strengthen controls. In support of this goal, the Service Management team is searching for a candidate to govern the telecom circuit expense and chargeback for data network services by ensuring variances in each lifecycle and region are controlled consistently and remain financially transparent.
Daily Responsibilities
Senior lead for the team that will govern data network telecommunications expense and chargebacks, by motivating and guiding the team to apply their skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
Define a governance model by organizing/documenting the people, processes, and platforms involved end-to-end
Learn and apply knowledge of the finance domain to ensure team is achieving financial goals through proper governance of the telecom expense and chargeback processes
Evaluate regional and global telecom expense processes to identify gaps and inconsistencies
Work with regional leads and key stakeholders to create new controls and governance processes to improve clarity, visibility, coordination and effectiveness
Determine types and frequency of communications, scorecards, and metrics to track governance effectiveness and financial transparency
Define roles and responsibilities for different phases of the expense lifecycle and functional accountabilities for day-to-day management of business practices across the enterprise
Align governance with Must Win Battles and technology capabilities
Define, streamline and automate chargeback process for recovering circuit costs

Qualifications / Requisite Knowledge Base
Proficient knowledge of telecommunications products and services
Advanced knowledge of financial management concepts and acumen
Minimum 7 years' experience working in a large IT environment in support of business processes and financial oversight
Preferred 3 years' experience in managing large projects or responsibility for global governance programs, with proven ability to influence others without direct authority
Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office products or similar data analytics tools.
Experience with chargeback modeling and billing
Experience communicating effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse teams.
Experience visualizing, creating and maintaining senior-level metrics to provide clear oversight of processes and financial state.
Relevant industry-standard financial and project management certifications are a plus.
