Position Requirements:
Education:
Education: Bachelor's degree is required, Business or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing or Electrical) - MBA or other advanced degree preferred

years in heavy industry equipment that spans multiple industries (e.g. Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, or General Industries)
Project Management Certification by Project Management Institute, or equivalent
Minimum of 7 years of developing products and/or technology for industrial products
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Excellent estimating, scheduling & budget management skills
Ability to independently identify and resolve project issues
Proven experience in influencing and leading
Proven experience in risk management
Proven experience in change management
Proven experience in contract management preferred
Excellent presentation, oral and written English language communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience
Excellent team-building, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
Enthusiasm, positive energy; highly motivated
Proficient in project management software (Primavera, Planview, Clarity, or others)
Basic secondary language skills preferred (Italian, French, Spanish, etc.)
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as necessary to perform project management duties (up to 50%)

Job Description;
The R&D PMO Project Manager - Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing assigned R&D projects, as assigned by and consistent with the strategy of the Flowserve Project M Management Office(PMO) and within the resource capability of the company. The position shall advise leadership and/or business executives stakeholders about the status and resource loading of assigned R&D projects across the company.
The position will proactively plan, direct, control and ensure the successful outcome of R&D projects utilizing the assigned project teams , as well as standards, best practices , and toolsets established within the Flowserve R&D PMO. At times, the position may lead teams of other Project Managers in the completion of Programs or other assignments. Measures of success include , but are not limited to; On Time Delivery, Cycle Time, Time to Market, Project
Management Behaviors and adherence to Budget .
The position shall support / lead the efforts of the PMO in identifying, developing, evaluating, and improving project Project management Management methods and processes that are efficient, effective and meet good business practice, while maintaining compliance with Flowserve policies regarding the execution, oversight and governance of R&D projects.
Nature and Scope:
Oversee and / or execute 5 to 10 projects at a time, as assigned by the Director of the R&D PMO
Manage 8 to 15 matrix reports (per project)
Manage a collective annual R&D project
budget of approximately $7M to $15M USD in
accordance with Flowserve Policies and Delegation of Authority annually
Principle Accountabilities
Provide project leadership that encourages team enthusiasm
and innovation
Apply/Communicate project management standards and best practices.
Ensure compliance of project execution with Flowserve policies regarding execution of R&D projects, including, but not limited to:
o Ensuring the completeness of a project charter and business case justifying each project, and a project charter to define the scope and ensuring a high quality of requirements definition
o Ensuring that Gate Reviews are conducted according to the standardized expectations for completion by phase
o Ensuring that individual project budgets reconcile with the overall approved budget and forecasted R&D spend
o Identifying risks and opportunities within the project environment and using integrated
change management to manage / control the outcomes to the benefit of the
project and Flowserve
Identify, seek approval for, and coordinate the assignment of internal and external Flowserve resources and expertise as appropriate to achieve project objectives
For assigned projects, act through the project core team to define, manage and control;
o Project scope
o Schedule
o Budget
o Resources
o Deliverables/outputs
o Risks/Issues/Opportunities
o Changes
o Project documentation & lessons learned
Provide strategic direction to project teams and the PMO as well as tactically manage the day to day project execution and communications
Collaborate with functional managers / directors in the supervision of project personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions
Ensure that assigned Flowserve projects are proceeding according to timeslines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters; negotiates changes in project resources as necessary to achieve
objectives and timelines
Advise leadership and/or business executives stakeholders at the highest levels about the status and issues of assigned projects
Work within an enthusiastic team to further refine Flowserve project management philosophies, behaviors, best practices, capabilities, processes and tools
Perform at all times in accordance within the ethics and diversity policies of Flowserve
