Long Term Contract Description:
Fleet IT team is responsible for digitizing the current Fleet business processes to improve the user experience and optimize the Fleet Business to save and reduce extraneous Vehicle maintenance expenses by digitizing or working on strategic Fleet programs.
This job's primary responsibility will be to migrate existing web application from on premise servers to AWS and also migrate the application from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
Must Have (5-6yrs experience):
AWS Strong database SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL) knowledge AngularJS HTML 5 CSS JavaScript Java Object oriented design/development RESTful APIs CI/CD JIRA/JENKINS Oracle to PostgreSQL migration experience Hands on in Linux Building/packaging/deployment/testing of the application in an enterprise environment.
What the candidate will do:
Migrate existing java and Oracle code to PostgreSQL database in AWS Write unit and UI tests to identify bugs Troubleshoot and debug to optimize app performance Design interfaces to improve user experience Ensure that new and existing apps meet quality standards Support the entire application life cycle - concept, design, test, release, and support Gather and understand requirements, and recommend solutions
Qualifications:
What You Need:
BS Degree in Computer Science or an allied field or equivalent experience and certifications AWS experience (Certification is a plus) Experience in migration from one technology to another (Oracle to PostgreSQL) In-depth knowledge of Java is a plus Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs Analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude Ability to perform and thrive in a team environment How To Stand Out:
Experience working in an AWS environment for at least 2 to 3 years using tools such as cloud formation template/yaml etc.
Hands on experience on CentOS/RHEL Linux Experience building Progressive Web Apps Strong backend development experience using OOAD principles using Java Other skills and expectations:
Demonstrated ability to work in high volume, fast paced environments Good communication skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrated experience with Agile methodology and tools (JIRA and Confluence).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
