IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

As an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:
Providing supervision, guidance, mentoring and direction to the ISSPs in support ofcertification and accreditation (C&A) of Industry classified systems as well as subsequent annual IS inspections, assessments and audits Assessing resources and funds expenditures, preparing and submitting budget forecasts, authorizing training and travel expenditures, and identifying where results do not justify costs Monitoring the region's SSP review process (track assignments, completions and status) Maintaining close and continuous liaison within the DoD and industry information assurance communities to keep abreast of system security matters and their impact on HQ Advising and assisting the regional ISSPs and applicable ISRs to ensure uniformity and consistency in conducting facility inspections or visits to assure contractor compliance with established DoD and DSS IS security policy and managing memorandum of understanding (MOU/MOA) within the region and across HQ ODAA The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened from the Office of Personnel Management's (OPMs) basic qualifications requirements. Specialized experience required for this position is:
Knowledge of information technology (IT) assurance principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices relating to information system security (infrastructure protection:
system security certification and accreditation; Federal information security protocols) in order to function as the technical authority for information system security issues. Expert knowledge of the DoD information Assurance (IA) policy, NISP IA policy, as well as security policies relating to International and Foreign Ownership and Controlling Influence (FOCI) system security plans, constitutional provision, laws, executive orders, and directives dealing with security matters. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
