SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:
Providing supervision, guidance, mentoring and direction to the Information System Security Professionals (ISSP) Team Lead (TL) in support of certification and accreditation (C&A) of Industry classified system as wll as subsequent inspections. Ensuring security plan errors and/or omission are properly documented and communicated to contractors in accordance with DoD and DSS requirements. Conducting studies and analyses of system conditions and problems to recommend guidance and criteria for technical solutions that satisfy NISP standards, procedures, and related requirements. Representing DSS in meetings, conferences, and on committees regarding information systems security. Maintaining IT proficiency through training/educating courses in support of the DSS Strategic Plan. Generating reports/queries to validate process improvement/consistency issues. Specialized experience required for this position is:
Having expert level knowledge of NISP and Federal/DoD Information Security policies, Information Technology (IT) principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices; as well as security policies relating to International and Foreign Ownership, Control, and Influence (FOCI) system security plans, laws, Executive Orders, and directives dealing with security matters. Knowledge of project management for tracking multiple efforts to include:
issues involving timeliness/inconsistencies from field elements, and/or projects. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
