SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties:
Providing supervision, guidance, mentoring and direction to the Information System Security Professionals (ISSP) Team Lead (TL) in support of certification and accreditation (C&A) of Industry classified system as wll as subsequent inspections. Ensuring security plan errors and/or omission are properly documented and communicated to contractors in accordance with DoD and DSS requirements. Conducting studies and analyses of system conditions and problems to recommend guidance and criteria for technical solutions that satisfy NISP standards, procedures, and related requirements. Representing DSS in meetings, conferences, and on committees regarding information systems security. Maintaining IT proficiency through training/educating courses in support of the DSS Strategic Plan. Generating reports/queries to validate process improvement/consistency issues. Having expert level knowledge of NISP and Federal/DoD Information Security policies, Information Technology (IT) principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices; as well as security policies relating to International and Foreign Ownership, Control, and Influence (FOCI) system security plans, laws, Executive Orders, and directives dealing with security matters. Knowledge of project management for tracking multiple efforts to include:
issues involving timeliness/inconsistencies from field elements, and/or projects. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
